Blurt is a public social blockchain. A post recorded on chain is not owned by a single website: several frontends can read the same information. This does not mean every website must display every post or that users are anonymous.
Why can content remain accessible?
If one frontend becomes unavailable, other compatible applications may still read the same on-chain records. A domain name and the blockchain are separate systems. Explore Blurt frontends →
Can a website hide a post?
Individual websites can moderate what they display. This does not automatically erase the chain's record. Access to each service remains subject to technical, legal and operational limitations.
What are the limits?
Public information can remain available for a long time. Search engines, hosting providers and frontends can change what users can access. Decentralization does not make all content lawful or eliminate personal responsibility.
How do I publish safely?
- Check facts and reuse rights before posting.
- Never publish private data or account keys.
- Choose reputable frontends and secure your account.
- When one interface is unavailable, test another compatible site.
