BLURT KNOWLEDGE BASE

Blurt fees and Blurt Power: what and how?

Understand Blurt operation fees, BLURT tokens, Blurt Power, Power Up, Power Down and account authorities.

Blurt uses network operation fees instead of the Resource Credits mechanism found on some related chains. Exact fees and supported options depend on current protocol settings.

What do I pay a fee for?

Operations such as publishing, commenting, voting and transfers can carry fees. A single fixed amount cannot accurately describe every operation. Review the displayed fee and keep a small liquid BLURT balance for network activity.

What is BLURT versus Blurt Power?

BLURT is the liquid network token. Blurt Power reflects staked influence used in voting and governance. Staking is different from transferring tokens to another user.

How do I Power Up?

  1. Open a trusted compatible Blurt wallet.
  2. Check the account name and available liquid BLURT.
  3. Select Power Up and choose an amount.
  4. Review the action and authorize it with the required permission, normally Active.

What does Power Down do?

Power Down starts a gradual stake withdrawal according to current network rules. Do not assume everything becomes liquid immediately. Check the schedule in your wallet.

Does voting spend my Blurt Power?

No. Voting uses influence tied to your BP and available voting mana; it does not transfer BP to the author. A normal operation fee may still apply.

How do I check current values?

Use your wallet to review amounts, fees and confirmations, and inspect the chain through a compatible explorer. Avoid relying on hardcoded historical values. Rewards explained → · Account keys →
