It's evening where I'm at in Accra so good evening to you all on Blurt. This is your girl Abigail making an introduction post to introduce myself to everyone.
To be honest, I was quite apprehensive to join Blurt and begin learning how to post here and I actually thought the no downvote system was a lie until I paid attention to the user interface and realized there really wasn't any.
I have found the learning curve to be nowhere near as hard as I thought it would be. In fact, I have just been learning more about Blockchain in a post for another site and to find out that a site such as this actually exists is quite shocking to me.
A place to share my work, and I want it to last, and to keep for others to read long after I have gone.
I joined Blurt because I’m genuinely interested in learning about the system for rewards and how it differs from Steemit. I honestly didn't know blogs could be this valuable in the crypto space if done right until Steemit and now the long term is my goal. Reading about all the blogging sites and their uses for crypto, I didn't realize how valuable the posts on this site would actually be.
While setting up my account I had a few hiccups figuring out how to properly set up a post for others to read, as well as how to properly tag others in posts, and finally how to properly upvote posts that I found to be of value. Those were my problems on Steemit but I've gained experience so I'm good here. I'm thankful for the MOD that helped me set up my account.
Thank you to all of the individuals and teams that are a part of this amazing project, I will be sure to show my support by upvoting posts that I see from mybfellow Blurt community members. I write with the intent to be understood, so I write in the simplest form of words and explanation to prevent any sort of pressure or stress on others, because what they read can have a profound impact on their mood. At least I know that's how I am.
I have walked away from other platforms and sites of writing for the reason that after multiple posts, there was never even a single response or comment. The platforms weren't extremely popular or known, but I was experimenting to see where I would fit.
I already have a lot more motivation here because I can see that people actually support support each other. The more I learn about this system, the more I will continue to post, read, connect with others, and try to improve my work.
Thanks in advance for your comments and for any tips on improving my interactions here, and I look forward to meeting you all here.
