It’s Time to Start Promoting Blurt More Widely — My First Reel Has Just Been Published

Today I talked with @dotevo about the fact that our Blurt project has already reached a fairly mature stage. Of course, there will always be something to improve, polish, or expand, but the basic things are now at a really decent level.

Account creation works much better than before. The appearance of the websites and tools is becoming more organized. The whole ecosystem around Blurt is also starting to look more accessible to new users. In other words: we are no longer at the stage where we have to focus only on fixing the basics.

And that is exactly why I think the time has come to start paying more attention to promotion.

It is not enough for the project to exist. It is not enough that it works technically. People still need to find out what Blurt is, why it exists, and why it is worth paying attention to. Today, one of the fastest ways to reach people is through short video content: reels, shorts, and TikToks.

So I decided to give it a try.

Today I created and published my first reel promoting Blurt.

I do not have much experience with this yet. In practice, I will be learning by doing — through trial, error, and gradual improvements. But you have to start somewhere. We will see whether this form of promotion brings results and whether it helps us reach new people who have never heard about Blurt before.

The first reel has already been posted on TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and of course on Blurt-related media.

You can see the result here:

I can already see a few things that need improvement. The desktop recording turned out a bit blurry, so I need to work on the video quality. I have also never really worked seriously with the 9:16 format before, so I had to get used to the vertical resolution used for reels and shorts. Still, I think the next materials will already be better.

Musically, though, I think it came together very nicely. Sometimes things like that happen a bit by accident, but in this case I really liked the result.

This is only the first test, but I see it as the beginning of more regular promotion of Blurt in a short, light, and easy-to-share format. If we want more people to learn about the project, we need to step outside our own bubble and appear where people actually consume content.

I also have a request for you: please share this reel further if you can. I know that for now the material is in Polish, so it will not be fully understandable to everyone, but even so, every share, like, comment, or view helps the algorithms show it to more people. This way, Blurt can reach a wider audience, and future materials will have a better chance of breaking through beyond our current community.

Let me know what you think.

Does this form of Blurt promotion make sense?
What would you improve in the next reels?
And what Blurt-related topics would be best to show in short videos?
