Hello Blurt fam! How’s your new month going so far? Mine started with a trip to the market 😅 This is @ethical.elder and today I decided to restock my kitchen. By the first week of every month, my foodstuff is usually almost finished. So I prefer doing one big shopping at the market instead of buying small-small from shops.

Rice And Beans
Here’s what I got:
- Rice & Beans:
First stop was grains. I bought 1 custard rubber of beans for N4500 and 1 rubber of rice for N5000. Buying in rubbers is cheaper than cups and it lasts longer.

Buying Garri
- Garri:
Next was garri. I got 1 rubber of yellow garri for N1500. I was actually expecting the price to increase, so I was happy it was still the same. There’s also white garri for N1000, but I prefer the yellow one. It just tastes better with soup.

Buying Onions
Buying Red Oil And Groundnut Oil
Buying Egg
- Onions, Eggs & Oil:
I also picked up onions because market prices are way better than shop prices. Then I selected my eggs myself, I don’t trust anyone else to do it 😂 . I finished up with fresh red palm oil and groundnut oil. The palm oil had to be thick and red, and the groundnut oil had to look clean and shiny.
My selfie
The market was busy as usual. I saw so many other things I wanted, but I stuck to my budget and only bought what I needed most. Getting all this at once makes me feel ready for the new month. No more emergency "run to the shop" moments.
Question for you, @mariuszkarowski @beblurt @primeradue @nalexadre @me-tarzan @blurtbooster @leifasaur @surfgrrl, do you prefer buying your foodstuff in bulk at the start of the month, or do you buy little by little as you need it?
